Compatibility & Installation
Is the Carboost adapter compatible with my car?
The Carboost adapter is compatible with 98% of vehicles equipped with original wired CarPlay or Android Auto. The simplest test: if your phone displays CarPlay or Android Auto when you plug it in via USB, our adapter will work. If in doubt, contact us with your vehicle's make and year — and remember: our Compatibility Guarantee will refund you 100% if it doesn't work for you.
Does it work with Android?
Yes! The Carboost adapter is a 2-in-1: wireless CarPlay AND wireless Android Auto (Android 11 and above). One condition for Android: your vehicle must have original wired Android Auto — a car equipped only with wired CarPlay can only use the CarPlay part. Please note: Huawei phones are not supported.
Is the installation complicated?
Not at all. Less than 30 seconds: plug the adapter into your car's USB CarPlay/Android Auto port, pair your phone for the first time, and you're done. All subsequent connections are automatic. And the product receives free OTA updates to remain compatible over time.
Is the AutoLock Pro compatible with my phone?
Yes. It is natively MagSafe compatible (iPhone 12 and later) and an adaptive magnetic ring is included for all other smartphones, older iPhones as well as Android.
